Regina, SK - The Alanna for Leader Campaign has conducted the first detailed poll of Saskatchewan Party membership. The poll was conducted by the NRG Research Group – an independent polling firm.
Results show that supporters believe Alanna Koch is the best candidate to defeat the NDP in the next general election. Furthermore, members named Alanna as the person who can best represent Saskatchewan issues at the federal level and push back on Justin Trudeau – the top two issues as identified by supporters.
The poll indicated that Alanna is positioned in a three-way cluster at the top with Ken Cheveldayoff and Scott Moe within the statistical margin of error. The results also show that there are a large number of undecided voters.
“While these are early day results, they are very positive indicators,” Manager for the Alanna for Leader Campaign Kelly Gallagher said. “Alanna scored the highest on the issues that are most important to Sask Party members. This is a clear indication she is successfully connecting with the membership. It also positions her campaign well to earn the votes of the undecided.”
The poll, which was conducted between October 5 to 14, 2017, sampled 500 Sask Party memberships. The 500-person sample is a representative demographic and geographic distribution across the membership. The results of this study are accurate +/-4.38 per cent, 19 times out of 20.
“The ballot question has been identified,” Gallagher said. “And it is who can defeat the NDP in the next election. This poll clearly shows the answer is Alanna Koch.”
