Throughout the campaign, I have heard strong opposition to the Trudeau Liberals’ changes to the Small Business Tax. I wrote a letter to the Prime Minister in early October expressing my concerns and demanding his government reconsider the ill-conceived attack on small business.
The people of Saskatchewan remember well the effects of an uncompetitive tax policy and a government that interfered too much in the economy. Ten years ago, Saskatchewan saw a change. Saskatchewan decided it was going to change from a place of high taxes and under-investment. We are now a place that focuses on growth and opportunity -- for the benefit of our citizens.
The Federal Government’s proposed tax changes on small business threaten to throw away all the progress that has been made here in Saskatchewan and in all of Canada.
